The Application Journey

First, we invite you to invest $50 in the process.
Investing the $50 application fee ensures we can dedicate proper time and care to reviewing each submission. Think of it as your first commitment to exploring whether this experience is right for you, right now.

Next, share your story with us.
After you submit your payment, you'll receive a link to the  Sounds. Systems. Silence. Retreat Interest & Fit Questionnaire. This questionnaire isn’t about perfect answers; it's about helping us understand where you are in your leadership journey and what you're seeking.

Then, we'll make a thoughtful decision.
Each application is reviewed with care, intention, and thoughtful consideration.

Within approximately 7 business days, after we’ve had a chance to review your interests and intentions, we’ll let you know whether you’ve been invited to join the cohort.

Confirming your place.

If it’s a match, you’ll be invited to reserve your place in the retreat.

We ask accepted applicants to confirm their commitment with a $1,500 non-refundable deposit. The deposit is applied toward the retreat fee associated with the accommodation and occupancy type you select.

Once notified of acceptance, you’ll have 48 hours to confirm your participation by paying your deposit. After that window, we cannot guarantee your place.

Participants are responsible for their own round-trip flights to and from San Jose. Ground transportation between San Jose and Imiloa Institute is included when traveling with the group. Any accommodations outside of the Sounds. Systems. Silence. retreat are your responsibility.

Roommate & Shared Accommodation Preference

If you select an accommodation designed for two guests, we will make every effort to thoughtfully match you with a compatible roommate, based on availability and retreat logistics.

If you and a partner, friend, colleague, or family member are applying and wish to be housed together, please list their name on your application so we can place you together.

Please note: Both individuals must submit separate applications and be accepted.

Payment Options

To support flexibility and ease, we offer three payment options. Once you’ve confirmed your participation, you may choose the option that works best for you:

  1. Pay in Full
    In lieu of the $1,500 deposit, you may submit the full retreat investment at the time of commitment.

  2. Two-Payment Plan
    Submit the $1,500 non-refundable deposit, followed by two equal payments of the remaining balance due at 60 and 90 days

  3. Monthly Installments
    Submit the $1,500 non-refundable deposit, followed by equal monthly payments, with the final payment due no later than August 1, 2026.

A Note on Our Non-Refundable Policy

We know "non-refundable" can feel rigid, so here's why it matters:

This retreat is limited to 25 participants. When you claim a spot, we turn away other qualified applicants and begin tailoring the experience to those attending. This level of personalization requires commitment from everyone involved.

Our recommendation: Only apply when you're genuinely ready to say yes if accepted. And, for added protection of your investment, we strongly encourage you to secure travel insurance.
